In what has to be one of the faster turnarounds in iPhone history, Apple has released a small update iOS just one week after a previous point release.

iPhone 4S users who had installed version 6.1.1 immeditely began complaining of battery issues, with some even reporting 10% battery drain per hour while not even using the device.

Version 6.1.2 reportedly resolves “an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network ativity and reduced battery life.”

iOS version 6.1.2 is available immediately, and is a recommended update for all iPhone 4S users. Users of jailbroken devices will naturally want to delay installation until it can be confirmed that the update will not break the jailbreak.
